I had been indifferent to the charms of Jamie, until recently. Until now I had never owned one of his cookbooks or watched him on telly. Then we bought our friend Will, who also likes to cook, his Jamie at home book, and Will brought it over one day for me to have a flick through.Coincidentally HI bought the series on DVD. And that's how it happened. I don't think his cockney sparra ways are an affectation, it all seems quite genuine. I like that he sticks his fingers in things and that he dances about in the kitchen when he eats something that make him happy. And I think he is funny. So there.
